Rebuilding My Portfolio with Claude Code
A quick look at how I used Claude Code to bring my blog into this site and give it a fresh design.

My portfolio had drifted. The blog still lived on an old Blogger theme, and the site itself needed a cleaner, more readable design. So I rebuilt it with Claude Code, working in VS Code.
Bringing the blog home
Claude wrote a one-off script that converted my recent Blogger posts to Markdown, pulled in their images and kept their diagrams working. Each post is now a simple file in the site, so writing a new one just means adding a file. Older posts stay on my original blog, linked from here.
A fresh design
Rather than guess, Claude took screenshots of each page and worked from what it actually saw. The result is a simpler layout: clearer cards, more readable text, a focused navigation and a proper reading view for posts.
What worked
- Let the agent see the real output. Screenshots caught issues that reading code alone would have missed.
- Keep the decisions yourself. Claude proposed changes, and I decided on wording, content and what to publish.
- Review everything before it goes live, especially anything written about you.
I use AI coding tools every day: Claude Code with Claude Fable and Opus, OpenAI Codex (Astra) and GitHub Copilot. This rebuild was a good reminder that a capable agent speeds things up a lot, as long as you know what "done" looks like.
